Most of what you say is true but to clarify....Moroccan men holding hands is just holding hands 90% of the time. It's just a custom, the way you see girls holding hands or walking arm in arm in some countries. Then again...Moroccan men don't consider themselves gay if they're the top. Any port in a storm I guess. I was traveling with two gay guys, one who lives there, so I got a slightly different perspective on Moroccan life maybe. Marakesh does suck for the reasons mentioned. Also..the motor bikes that zoom right up behind you drove me crazy with anxiety. I just got back myself.
