2008 Travel Update

During the holiday season last year I created a nice list of places I wanted to go to in 2008. It was a long list and would have required 98 days of holiday (which I’m just a bit shy of…by about 75%). Now that we’re close to the half way point of the year, here’s an update of how far we have gotten and what else to expect for the rest of the year:

So far we have done ok with a couple of big trips:
Been There Done That:
St Petersburg
Helsinki
Stockholm
Tallinn
Swedish Lapland
Salzburg
York
Ireland - Newgrange, Glendalough

For the rest of 2008, here are the planned trips in some different buckets:

Mosdef = already planned
Valencia, Spain
Edinburgh (and some surrounding areas)
Italy trip (cinque terre, tuscany)

MosLikely
Norway
Munich for Oktoberfest (if there is participation from friends)
Croatia
Iceland
Switzerland
Sevilla + Morrocco

Moslikely Weekend trips: (minimal holidays off)
Paris
Amsterdam
Bruges/Brussels
Switzerland

For anyone thinking about taking a trip to the Ninja Den:
Those are your choices. I will take that trip to Munich for Oktoberfest if I get other participants that don’t mind a bit of regurgitated Bosna on their shoes. I am taking mid-December through January off. No work, all play. All regurgitation. So, if you want to visit, that is also a good period of time to meet up somewhere.
